Today is the Mother’s Day. No doubt you all appreciated your mothers for the kindness they showered you all throughout their lives. Also, most of us agree that she needs not a day to be appreciated, but all the time. In fact, every time we breathe, we owe our lives to her. Of course, our loving fathers shouldn't be forgotten. But let’s dedicate this post to moms today.

“A woman doesn’t actually need to birth a child to be the best mom of someone. On the other hand, a woman who birth a child doesn’t always turn out to be a best mom either.”

Mothers, as we all know, are wonderful in their own ways. It’s undebatable for a child, his/her mother to be the best. We learn as we grow that mothers come in different ways. So to talk about this, the best way is to make use of the existing entertainment mediums: movies. I chose a good movie, which was about motherhood. But definitely, highlighted mothers of all kinds, everywhere.

Blind Side is produced to appreciate mothers who adopt kids and raise them to become the best version of themselves. It shows how a mother can welcome another child to their lives when it is already perfect. Especially, a child of a different race, background, and a different mother. In this movie, the child was almost 18, that the mother, Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) couldn't legally adopt him, Big Mike (Quinton Aaron). But surely, she sheltered, educated, and protected him. Reciprocally, Big Mike grows to adore, love, and trust the new mother. What touches me the most is the fact that how Leigh’s existing family welcomes Big Mike into their family and helps him adapt, or in his perspective help him improve.

I am sure there are a lot more movies appreciating mothers. But this movie touched the bottom of my heart for the fact that being a mother is just a decision away. Mothers always live their lives unconditionally loving, nurturing her family. Her sacrifices aren’t always loudly applauded. Her generosity is never paid back. But I believe a mother’s love is a gift that can heal any pain in this world. Mother’s love heals not only human, even nature. That’s why it is important in this era to love the rivers, trees, animals just like you’d love your kids. You wouldn't let someone threaten them, harm them, or even misuse them. The extra mile you go to ensure nature is unharmed will ensure the livelihoods of born and unborn kids of the world.

“Once a mother will always remain a mother.”
